For parents & teachers
A quick guide to what this is, and just as importantly, what it isn't.
What it does
Future Finder asks 12–30 weighted, adaptive questions covering interests, work values, preferred environments, skill signals and motivations. It builds a personal vector and compares it to 80+ career profiles using a weighted similarity score. It returns the top two career matches, a confidence score, evidence from answers and an action plan.
What it is inspired by
The career matching logic is inspired by the RIASEC / Holland career interest model, O*NET-style occupation descriptors, common work-value frameworks and environment-fit principles. It is a fun exploration tool — not a clinically validated assessment.
What it is NOT
- Not a guarantee of career success or fit.
- Not labour-market data. "Future trend" notes are general, not predictions.
- Not a substitute for guidance counsellors, mentors or real-world experience.
- Not a fixed result — answers change with mood, age and experience.
Privacy
We do not collect a name, email, address, school or any sensitive data. The nickname and answers stay in your browser's local storage on this device. Nothing is sent anywhere.
How to use it well
- Treat the result as a great conversation starter, not a verdict.
- Encourage trying the "Try this today/week/month" mini missions.
- Retake it every six months — interests evolve, and that's the point.
